The purpose of the site is ultimately to provide the UK with a huge counselling support network, enabling those in distress to find a counsellor close to them and appropriate for their needs. This is a free, confidential service that will hopefully encourage those in distress to seek help. The website also contains a number of sections on emotional disorders (types of distress section) and provides some useful statistics. Every counsellor on the site who has submitted their profile has either sent a copy of their qualifications and insurance cover to us, or is registered with a professional body online with recognised codes of ethics and practice, this way we can be assured of their professionalism.

Improving the lives of children who need help.
This group is an opportunity for breastfeeding mums to get together in a relaxed and friendly environment to make friends and meet other breastfeeding mums (term time only).
The group meets every Wednesday between 10am and 12pm during term time at King Arthurs Hall, King Arthurs Way, and is run by a group of mums trained as Peer Supporters, who can give information, support and friendship to mums who are breastfeeding or thinking of breastfeeding.
No need to book – just drop in, tea, biscuits and a warm welcome await you (older children welcome, toys provided).

The Andover Food Bank provides food for local people in crisis. It issues food vouchers which can be exchanged for emergency food boxes.
Each box contains 3 days supply of nutritionally balanced tinned and dried food. This is a short term measure providing breathing space until additional help is offered by professional agencies.
Families and individuals within the Andover area may require food boxes for a variety of reasons. These can include debt, benefit delay, low income, unemployment, homelessness and domestic violence. We provide support, whatever the reason. Donations are given through Harvest Festival School collections, via local church gifts, Company staff collections and by individuals to our volunteers during Supermarket collection days.
The most cost-effective form of Family Protection
Rather than providing a lump sum should you die, family income benefit provides a regular, tax-free, monthly income for you and your dependants - from the time of the claim to the end of the plan term.
For example: Plan Term - 22 years. Time claim made - after 16 years. Benefits paid - for the remaining 6 years. This is why family income benefit often costs less than life insurance.
Family income benefit is particularly attractive to those who like to know they have a regular monthly income and would rather not have to worry about complex investment decisions to make the most of a lump sum payout. Can also be used to cover Children's Education, giving your child the option for further education. Joint or single plans can be arranged.
Anthony Marshall from Marshall Insurance Brokers based in Union Street, Andover can provide you with quotes to cover your family. No obligation.
Hampshire County Council is currently introducing a contact centre, called Hantsdirect, to improve people’s experience of contacting the County Council and the level of service they receive when they do. We want to make it quick, easy and convenient for you to access the services you require and have your request or query dealt with quickly and efficiently. It will also handle Children's and Adult Services enquiries instead of local socail care area offices.
Over the coming months Hantsdirect will be handling calls for all new initial enquiries for socail care services, be it to raise concerns about the protection and welfare of children or vulnerable adults, or to deal with referrals or requests for care services.
